I know there are many websites of quotations about life. Many of them just want to be the archive having the most number of quotes online.

There is one site claims to have a million quotes. Who needs that many quotations? Anyway, most of the quotes are not that profound, well-known or widely used.

Life Is Short Memorable Quotes To Remind You To Seize The Day

As we all know life is a sum of each passing moments. That is why we should cherish every moment that we still have.

Once it is gone, it is lost forever. So seize the day, before life seizes it away from you. It's time to to live mindfully and consciously.

Do things you love, enjoy the wonders of the world and live your life to the fullest.

As philosopher Seneca said life is not short. It is sufficiently long enough to allow us to accomplish of the very greatest things if it is well invested.

But instead we squander in luxury and carelessness; devoted to no good end. Then by the time  we realized,  time has passed away.

He also said that by putting things off is the biggest waste of life. It snatches away each day as it comes, and denies us the present by promising the future.

The biggest hindrance to living is expectancy. It hangs upon tomorrow, and loses today. What we should do is to live immediately.

We spend our lives forgetting the present moment, constantly occupying ourselves with planning the future and worrying with anxiety over its impermanence.

In Danish existentialist philosopher Soren Kierkegaard's book "Either/Or: A Fragment of Life", he wrote about that one of our source unhappiness is fleeing away from our own lives.

"The unhappy person is one who has his ideal, the content of his life, the fullness of his consciousness, the essence of his being, in some manner outside of himself. The unhappy man is always absent from himself, never present to himself. But one can be absent, obviously, either in the past or in the future. This adequately circumscribes the entire territory of the unhappy consciousness." - Soren Kierkegaard (The Unhappiest Man)

Here is a good selection of quotes about how short life can be to remind us to stop wasting our limited time. At any time, it could be your last time on earth.

Make use of your day wisely and mindfully, because one day you will have no more day left, mind you.

11 Quotes About Keeping Hope Alive To Keep Us Going

Hope can be what we called wishful thinking or to expect with confidence. This optimistic attitude of mind that relies on an expectation of positive outcomes is an essential emotional life tool to keep us alive.

According to Shane Lopez, who wrote the book "Making Hope Happen: Create the Future You Want for Yourself and Others", hopeful people have four main beliefs:
1. Their future will be better than the present.
2. They have the power to make it so.
3. There are many paths to their goals.
4. None of them is free of obstacles.

Lopez says that optimism is an attitude. But hope is both the belief in a better future and the action to make it happen.

We may be a realist or pessimist, yet when something that is important to us, we will still take action hoping or expecting some kind of positive results.

Now, let's ponder over these 11 quotes about being hopeful:

Each of us define beauty differently. When you say someone, something or an experience is beautiful, how do you know it?

In philosophy, when they talk about beauty, they talk about aesthetic attitude. Aesthetic means concerned with beauty or the appreciation of beauty. The attitude is a certain state of mind.

In other words, each of us approach the experiences or orientate ourselves toward the so-called beauty differently.

11 Mark Twain Quotations On Life, Honesty, Age, Kindness And Other Topics

Mark Twain is actually a pen name. This American author and humorist real name is Samuel Langhorne Clemens.

He is known for writing the classic novels "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", and its sequel, "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" aka "The Great American Novel".

mark twain quotations on life, honesty, age, kindness and other topics
Ernest Hemingway said: "All modern American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called Huckleberry Finn. American writing comes from that. There was nothing before. There has been nothing as good since."

Mark Twain is also known for his keen wit and incisive satire. You can find thousands of quotations by Mark Twain.

He is the most frequently quoted writer in American literature. Among them are his opinions about the people he knew, the places he's been, and the books he wrote, and many other topics, such as writers, billiards, smoking, his family, and lots more.

I love his well-crafted quotes. According to Mark Twain, to get the right word in the right place is a rare achievement.

To condense the diffused light of a page of thought into the luminous flash of a single sentence, is worthy to rank as a prize composition just by itself.

He added that anybody can have ideas. The difficulty part is to express them without squandering a quire of paper on an idea that ought to be reduced to one glittering paragraph.

Now, let's check out my selected list of 11 Mark Twain quotations on life, honesty, age, kindness and other subjects.

Quotes Of Happiness To Brighten Up Your Day

"The happy have whole days, and those they choose. The unhappy have but hours, and those they lose" - Colley Cibber

Today I am sharing with you some quotes of happiness.

People use different terms to describe the experience of happiness. For some it might be excitement, passion, exhilaration, fulfillment, freedom, feeling fully alive with inspiration and joy.

quotes of happiness to brighten up your day For others it might be more peaceful, content, capable, hopeful, satisfied, and comfortable feeling. Everyone of us is always seeking happiness, yet this human emotion is one of the least understood.

According to studies by neuroscientists have discovered that our brain's happiness is highly dependent on an individual's experiences, emotions and thought, and thus capable of being "learned."

It has revealed that happiness is attainable The brain can actually change as a result of conscious selection of thoughts. In other words, happiness is a choice.

Decide to be happy or happier. Accept and decide to change what you can and accept what you can't and decide to be happy and more positive.

Happiness is a state of mind or feeling such as contentment, satisfaction, pleasure, or joy.

The three-ingredient recipe for happiness:

1.Selective of your thoughts.

2.Feeding your soul.

3.Connecting with others.

As they say, we cannot change the events in our lives, but we can change our response to those events, which will change the outcome for us.

Feed yourself with feelings of gratitude. Think about everything and everyone in your life that you are grateful for.

Things always seem better after you have talk to a good buddy. Friendship is both good for our health and spirit. Connecting with people gives social support and strengthens resilience.
